Yeah I know it's been a couple days!! I just fixed the weather now tho. 
The front page is finally live, after a year of procrastination, yay! 
The design is by Yai, praise and thanks be to her!
Changes
- Same ol' news section but in a new place.
- Version history reduced to an info bar. History is still available, of course.
- New Current Events & Sales. Make sure to edit these when you put new stuff in the news!
- The daily shadow missions box is slightly smaller and in a new location.
- Real-time Mabinogi Server Status with server load information added. See here.
- Weather widgets. It shows the current forecast for each zone (you can scroll that thingy) and also some rain-specific info.
The rainy weather activities show what I thought were the important aspects of rainy weather bonuses. In order, it shows:
- The most intense rain right now
- When the next thunderstorm is
- Where the best place to refine is (that is, the rainiest place with furnaces) right now
- Where the best place to perform synthesis or other alchemical activities right now
- Where the best place to do carpentry is right now
- And lastly when the next thunderstorm is in Rano for the FH statue
If there's anything else I didn't think about I'd be interested to hear it!
Future plans
- There are timers already designed I just have to vet them more to make sure they're accurate with regard to timezones. I'm not super enthused about it.
- We need something more useful to newbies than a giant sitemap, sort of "how do you navigate mabi 101" type stuff. I imagine this would be in the form of high level guides. I want there on the front page sort of replacing the site map we had before.
- Most recent forum posts box?? Because reading the log is kind of annoying.
- Some fanciness to the MSS that literally won't matter to anyone.
This thread is mostly about comments and complaints about design and like "god why would you change things". Broad-form feature suggestions are also okay but discussing features is probably more useful in the project thread.
